    218 pro 4 blade 15 vs 17?

    What prop works best on the 218. I have a 14 1/2 4 blade X 17, but think a 15 might be better?

    what motor?

I liked the 15p 4 blade Solis prop on my old 218 w/F150.

    Also ran the 14 1/4 3 blade 17p Reliance.

I've got a PowerTech 14" 4 blade on mine (it measured out at 14" pitch from local prop guy) and still can't get upper 5k rpm range consistently. Prop guy took some cup out so that helped and I finally addressed a trim tab issue on my boat that may get me another 100 or so RPM so I might see 5700 with light load.

As an aside, I'd love to try the Solas 15" 4 blade if someone wanted to try my PowerTech just to see any differences.

Is this the one y'all are running? I might get it just to test out. Hate to spend ~$300 and no change, though.
