Location: Barnegat,NJ Long Key, Fla. | I just purchased a 218 sailfish and would like to use a lift to keep the boat out of the water. There is a bow eye, but not a lifting ring. since there is an anchor locker door there, I can't see how to install one. Has anyone any ideas how to solve this? Thank you, Rob |

| Working on the same thing now on my 2660. Depends where your bow eye is located in relation to the anchor well, if the back of the eye is within the anchor well, will need to connect a keel plate with 5/8 inch rod threaded into that with a ring on the other end. Then keep anchor door open when lifted with davits, as long as your anchor well has its own vent/drain.
My bow eye is behind the anchor well, so I am going to install a flush eye in the bow seating area.

| I currently have a 2660 and had a lifting eye installed by the dealer when the boat was bought new. What they had to do was install an additional "D" ring about 10" above the existing one, so that a lifting eye could be put on the top side of the bow. No interference with the anchor locker and the anchor locker does not need to be left open. The lefting ring cleat also works great as an anchor tie-off. To make a long store short, the boat has been stored on davits for the past 4 years and no issues. |

Location: Barnegat,NJ Long Key, Fla. | Thank you for the replies. As of right now i am going to use a strap off the bow eye. I will check into installing as described. |
